the French have placed war planes over Libya  :o
i never thought this would happen.

no offence to the French but they keep themselves to themselves .
isn't this sort of meddling with foreign countries own problems .

Somebody has to send some and I think our government's decommissioned all of ours, although I think we still have a Sopwith Camel to send over there.

due to cut backs in the UK " defence " budget Cameron has just sent what fighter planes we have to save civilian life.

well that no fly zone got very interesting.

The UK, US and France have attacked Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi's forces in the first action to enforce a UN-mandated no-fly zone.

Pentagon officials say the US and the UK have fired more than 110 missiles, while French planes struck pro-Gaddafi forces attacking rebel-held Benghazi.

Col Gaddafi has vowed retaliation and said he would open arms depots to the people to defend Libya.

Cruise missiles hit air-defence sites in the capital, Tripoli, and Misrata.

Libyan state TV said 48 people had been killed and 150 wounded in the attacks. There was no independent confirmation of the deaths.

Gaddafi is quite literally insane. He even claims that Shakespeare was an Arab.

Gaddafi is a bit odd, he made it compulsory for almost everyone to read his Green Book.  On the radio, a while back, one of the lecturers teaching the book at a university said he thought the book was silly and only did it because he needed a job :D

Whoever has the most to loose with unrest in Libya is the one who will  send in the largest number of warplanes as a percentage of population.
 
 In this case, there are lots of oil companies from all over who will lose big if the wrong person takes control...
 
 On the other side, ELF Oil and other European companies are looking for better foot holds...
 
 Anyway, War Planes =  Oil companies when the third world gets invaded...
 
 At least that is how things have been going...
