Subvinorosa has dropped me the occasional email as she doesn't have readily available internet access at the moment.  Most of the time it's just to say hi but I got this one yesterday and thought I'd post it here as it indirectly addressed to all of us:

Got hit by an earthquake a couple of days ago.  Just wanted to let you folks know we're okay.  Tsunami alert is no longer on in our area  (I think at least.)  We have had over a thousand aftershocks since then though.

I miss you guys.  I hope to get internet real soon.

I wish her well as I'm sure we all do and I too, miss her.

Will do although I don't think she gets to read her mail that often.

I hadn't actually heard about the quake in the Philippines but now I've looked there are many news reports on the incident:

She also mentioned that her job was crazy among other things, so I guess she really has a lot on her plate right now.

Hey, just saw this.

Thanks you guys.  I heart you all.

The aftershocks were mostly on the other islands but apparently, there were over a thousand of them.  Felt only one of those. 

Yep, work has been crazy too.  And other stuff.

But I'm back and glad to be.

Good to see you back and all in one piece Sub'.

I hope your job and other little annoyances have abated too.
