I liked Sam Raimi until that movie came out.
Mother Of Tears by Dario Argento was good.
Bad thing is that its a sequel to another movie that was never released outside of Italy for some reason.
Asia Argento did a good job in it.
I expected more from her though since I saw her playing in Land Of the dead ( George Romero and Asia's Father, Dario are close freinds and worked together on the original Dawn Of the Dead).
Its a bit convoluted ( as is most of dario's works) but I still have to say it was pretty good.
I was a fan of alot of Argento's work like Susperia and Bird With The Crystal Plume ( excellent thriller by the way if your into that kind of film) and Blood Red ( a film that sold me on Argento).
I recently bought Demons and Demons 2 ( Demoni and Demoni 2 in Italy).
I loved the soundtrack on the first, and the second was just brutal.
Although the idea of demons comming to life through movies and or tv is a bit far fetched, they were both still good Italian gore fest monster movies.
The acting was a little poor in the second,, but thats part of Argento's charm, take what you have, and make the best you can.
Demons 3: the Ogre wasnt even part of the Demons universe.
It was about this think that lived in the cellar of this house, and just didnt make sense.
I guess I went into it expecting something else since it was tied in with the other two.
Oh well, cant have everythng.
All in all, if you go into an Argento film with the right mindset, youll enjoy it.
I have to warn you though,, not everyone will appreciate what he does.
His stories are usualy a bit over the top at times as is with almost any Italian or Spanish director/writer.
