Series Finales
« on: May 19, 2013, 05:30:54 PM »
In just a couple of days I have literally SOBBED over the departure of shows that have come to an end. The Office ended and I truly, truly cried for 2 hours. Incredible ending, satisfied all pending thoughts and ideas. Then last night was Bill Hader and Fred Armisens last show on SNL. Again...... cried like a baby. I have GOT to get out more.

I stopped watching The Office a long time ago when it became all about Jim and Pam's romantic crap. I think I made it through the first three seasons before I lost interest.

So now contribute with shows that you were sad to see end. I feel like such a Mom that I have to say that. Ha!!
Although, I did not watch it straight through. As Ive mentioned I have issues with "embarassing moments" and Michael is one after another. I increased my alcohol level so that I could deal with it and watched it "on demand" all the way through. Im actually watching it again from the beginning.

30 Rock. I really liked that show and was sad to see it go. I never watched the entire finale because I didn't want to see it end. I still DVR the reruns at night and even though I've seen most episodes, I occasionally find one that I missed or don't quite remember which makes me happy.

The other is Don't Trust the madam in Apt. 23. but I've mentioned it too much already and have nothing new to add on that subject except that they finally put the last 8 eps online May 17th and now I have them to watch.  Soo... if you were worried about that and perhaps losing sleep or having trouble eating, maybe experiencing anxious breakdowns wondering whether or not I would be able to see the final eps of a stupid sitcom, you can rest well tonight with the assurance that I do indeed have them on my HDD. :P

Man, I feel so left out here, I'm trying to think of one..
I wanted to say I loved the office, watched every episode until Micheal left.  I loved Micheal.
ohcheap, I totally share your sense of "embarrassing moments, many times during comedies, where things come to a funny embarrassing head, I can't watch, I'll literally look away a little bit.

Im really going to miss 30 rock too. Never missed an ep. My cable company has all seasons/eps on demand currently. SUCH a great show.

I was sad Deep Space Nine ended.  When I was watching it, I remembered my friend telling me that she cried during the ending, and that put me off crying properly because it felt contrived.  Also, I was a bit angry that my dad changed the channel on the TV I was using to record it.

Oh, I cried at the end of the last episode of Blackadder Goes Fourth.

Now Zoidberg is the popular one!

I just finished Breaking Bad's finale and am still crying over it.
I remember OC1 and JackFrost suggesting it in this forum back when I was in HS. So that was around its first season if I recall correctly.
And now I am in senior year college and this ended. It is like a part of my life.

Also, it reminded me of diasfora. I am glad this forum is still alive.
