I'm getting an ad on every video now. I am running ad-block plus.

It's not the text overlay ads either, it's full 30 second video ads.

Don't you get the option to skip after five seconds?

That's YouTube. Maybe 8ullfrog isn't talking about it?  :-\

I used to listen to a ukf playlist back to back, never had any problems with ads. Now I get one for every video.

Oh. I don't use YouTube that much , maybe that's why I can skip after five seconds of an ad.

It was only recently that I realised all the pages I view from Google searches, show as viewed on all my devices.  That's kind of neat if not a little spooky.

YouTube always allows me to skip after 5 seconds.  So far.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

The cookie is now in their hands. In the old days you could nuke cookies by tracking them down and deleting them locally. Google for one, has realized that, and keep a copy of your google cookie on their server. This means lowered levels of privacy, as you can't just nuke it. They've made a copy.

You could try not logging in, but once you've logged in on a machine, google WILL recognize it.

AdBlock Plus isn't enough.  I installed an additional add-on for this purpose and never see youtube ads now.  I don't know if you are on a Mac, I assume not.  Here's a link to one for PC

I don't particularly mind, in fact, some things I have viewed on Screwfix and forgot to order, then show up in Ebay advertising banners etc and it obviously jolts my memory.

That's useful in my case.

Just got my first non-skippable advert on YouTube.
