They could employ them Hackney goons to mug all the tourists.  I don't like Hackney, they look at you funny.

East London is a hard place to live at the best of times.

One of the promises for winning the Olympic bid was regeneration of the area.  What that actually means is that they will be able to sell off all th property at ridiculous prices like they already do in north, south and west London.  It won't work of course as the only reason East London's property remains a comparitive bargain is that it is too scary to stay in for any length of time, and I can just imagine what the homeboys there would do with a new breed of "Hooray Henries" on their doorstep.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

seem to recall that the local council kicked out local allotment holders to make way for a path.

Seems to me this whole Olympics thing is more trouble for the comon person than what its worth.
I remember the last winter Olympics that was telivised here in the States. The ratings were crap.
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.
