I've got a hand me down LifeCam 1000, a Microsoft Product. I plugged it in today, device manager sees it, so I go to launch skype. I use this, I'd say one time every 5 years or so.
Nope. LifeCam's are completely blocked in 10. Doesn't matter what model you have. Advice seems to be "return to amazon, buy a new one."
I can't do either. I guess I'll just buy a headset or something, I hate webcams anyway.
I think I still have a Logitech headset that came with the original Guild Wars. But the whole reason I was using the LifeCam is because I have a USB hub on my desk and didn't want to screw with wires.
gah. Honestly, I'd be happy with a pencil mike I could just twine on my headphones.
I had a retarded tactical throat mic on my amazon wishlist for a long time. Maybe I should have bought that.
I used to have a stupid little desk mic that looked like a meatball, I miss that little thing.
Hah, just checked. Last time I skyped was 2010.
I was also totally wrong as to what a pencil mic was, those things look like bless'ed vapes.
