I think I've mentioned before, I have a microsoft Lifecam VX-1000.
Windows 10 refuses to recongize the VX-1000, and skype pretends it doesn't exist.
If you manually install the drivers, you're good... for that windows session.
Reboot, and you're back to "No webcam present" even though device manager still displays it happily.
I spent a bunch of time cleaning my room and setting it up... and then my virtual interview with my doctor was a simple phone call.
I swear, when I was setting it up, my blood pressure spiked alarmingly. I had to take a minute and listen to this -
To get my BP down to 126/90.
Roomie spotted me his pulse oximet for this too, mvp roomie!
I guess the lesson of the day is, don't make assumptions, and don't buy Microsoft webcams.
