I've always had a comic avatar as long as I've been on forums.  Spiderman isn't necessarily my favorite comic character but he is in the top 5/10.  Here's an image I use on another forum where they let me have a slightly larger avatar because at the shrunk down size it doesn't look right.

A wing nut is a like the bolt in "nuts and bolts" but it has 2 wings on it so you can tighten or loosen it by hand.
