Ok, I watch and love Fringe BUT I have not watched the new one yet, nor do I think I will be able to tonight.  Guess that means I ignore this whole thread until the weekend.

Is it any good? It's being played on the local tv channel, but it looks kinda just like a remake of X-Files to me (from the tv spots) :-\

I wouldn't say it's a re-make of x-files, but it's definitely about the weird and wild.  It's created by JJ Abrams (creator of Lost) so you know it's gonna be at least a little trippy.

I've only seen half a season of the first season and sort of gave up on it (Lost) but I do, normally, like JJ's style.

I haven't watched lost or Fringe. Which do you guys suggest i start with? I've heard they're both excellent, especially if stoner/wtf series are a turnon to some.  :P

I have never even had the slightest desire to watch Lost but obviously that was an incorrect desire.... ::)  I love the sci fi/mystery of Fringe. I suppose it is similar to  XFlies, but Fringe answers questions and then asks more. XFiles just left you guessing. ::)

actually, they did. and then they would begin the next episode as if the last was off the record.pissed me off at times.

I do like the whole Mulder and Scully thing though.
But sometimes the 90s special effects are a bit too obviously fake :-\
