Nice. The Pacific is cold. The beaches around here have dangerous surf warnings. There are still surfers. The ones I've seen are really fit. The waves are nothing to mess with.
I haven't seen any rattlers, although they do live in the hills around here. I think getting bitten would be a stone cold drag. I broke my left foot about 6 months ago and couldn't really walk for 2 months so I completely get the situation this guy had to overcome. And I love to walk. Only did 3.6 miles today, but that has been my average prior to the break. It's good for clearing one's head and great exercise. I have been looking for Paul Sluts' (aka Backstage Sluts) remix of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," known as "Wonda Boots." It's not on youtube, but this Lou Reed number is sort of entertaining.
