..speaking of aliens..  even though I was iffy about some parts of Whitley Strieber's version of 2012.. in most ways it would have made a more interesting movie then the one that's out.

And... speaking of books.. I want to see The Road, but I want to read the book this week before I go see it. I'd include post-apocalyptic movies as disaster films. It's the mess after the diaster.. which is just as interesting as the disaster itself.

  Highly reccomended.

^ Shaun of the Dead ..seriously. Unexpected weird disasters like that are interesting.

SOTD was my favorite movies for like a 5 year period of time. Masterpiece of horror and comedy. Loved it.

The International is a a film that I wish was worth watching but is so not actually worth watching. I thought Clive Owen + Naomi Watts + Tom Tykwer = AWESOME!
BUT NO. Sorry, Gee, I found it totally flat, and at the end you just sit there and say "What the golly just happened??" The plot was thin. REAL THIN.

I was actually thiking of Gee this weekend. I saw a few minutes of Thunder Road (1958), and was wondering if he'd ever seen that movie.

^It's just completely incoherent. You know, you'd think that there is a moral behind the story at the end, but all you get from it is confusion. I guess action buffs would watch it for the shootout, but I bet you can just watch it on youtube.

It's an older American cult classic about running moonshine. But, you might sit through it sometime just for the vintage car shots

Another movie I loved from back in the 70s,, Its Alive.
I saw the remake while at Tracy's  and i thought it was an hour and a half of my life that I will never see again.
They ought to pay people money to watch that tripe.
