I intend to watch every single game if I can. That sounds good but at 3 beers a game, I fear trousers with elasticated waistbands are on the horizon...

Troubleshooting... The center channel on my receiver isn't working. Dialogue on TV shows uses that channel a lot. First I had to find a screwdriver that fit the screws on my multi-tester so I could put a new 9 volt battery in it. Tested the speaker wire for continuity, tested good dang it. Later I'll try a different speaker and hope it works. Otherwise there's a problem with the receiver. :(

Looked at the settings and the center speaker was set to off. I don't know how that happened but when I turned it on and tried a different speaker it worked. I reconnected the regular center speaker and no sound.

I'm getting 1 ohm on that speaker and 8 ohms on the working speaker. Reckon I need a speaker. Glad it's not the receiver. \o/

* Got same day delivery through Amazon Prime. Waiting on my new speaker.

** New speaker is hooked up now and what a difference. I can understand what the actors are saying now. Before I had to turn up the volume so loud the I'd get distortion.

Is it an "AV receiver"? I can't say that I have ever come in contact with one of them. Are they popular?

I have an amplifier with multiple inputs. But it's like, 20 years old... (perhaps even 25).

Yeah, it's 5.1 surround sound. I have the DVR, Xbox 360 and media player connected to it via HDMI and it's connected to the TV via HDMI.

I'm glad you were able to get the speaker situation sorted.

I'm reading about Deductible Business Expenses.  Just spent two hours learning about Depreciation.  My brain has melted.
