I'm teetotal for a while.
Don't all fall over at once, now.
I gave up drinking alcohol and eating sweets for a couple years and lost 20 pounds (in concert with walking 4 mi. a day). I felt better. I've gained a good deal back because I now drink about 2 glasses of wine a day and eat snacks at the same time. I don't drink more than this, but the calories add up.
I think that if you let any substance be a regular habit it's important to keep control over it.
