Restaurants in the UK are really expensive.  We went to Pizza Express a lot because it was cheap.  We had some very good Thai food at a place in Boston Spa. near Yorkshire.  But I suspect you are closer to London.

I'm looking for some new telly to watch.

Best pizza you'll ever have outside Italy is from Franco Manca, and an average price of a pizza there is around £7.50.  That's probably about $8 these days and that to sit down in a nice atmosphere too.

Downside is you cannot make reservations and there is usually a a queue. However, I've never waited more than half an hour.

I'm watching Ghost in the Shell, 1995 anime film.  For some reason, it's dubbed into English with English subtitles that don't say the same thing as the vocalizations.  It's a little weird.  But the film looks promising.  The animation is good.

Things always get "interpreted" in dubs, typically dumbed down, and annoying as poo "comedy" is inserted.

I wish I could get the double dialogue version too though, hehe.
8ully, your probably right, but it's worth a try if there may be a find with multiple translations because of a flux in the defintion from language to language... or I may be geeky, i''m not sure. Either way if the terrible jokes faulter that plan, so be it, I'd stick it out for fifteen minutes anyway.

Smokes, I'm so very glad the coughing has stopped for my son, but unfortunately not me.  I irritated my lungs with sickness the passed two winters I think my cough is sticking around a little longer than what's normal this time.

Ludens, the most candy like cough drop, should be cheaper where you are then they are here.

GITS is something else though. From comic book or manga depending on the reader humerous smut to philosophy from the eastern side of blade runner, it really is something else.

If you ever feel like going further, there is a series, known as ghost in the shell: stand alone complex, which continues on to even darker depths. Ghost dubbing in particular, is a bless'ed nightmare straight out of hell.

Oh, and the opening theme is bitchin'.

I liked the film and have been advised that the series is even better so I'll be onto that next.

Did anyone else have trouble getting in here today?  I kept getting "SMF can't connect to the database" messages.

I was at a dance production put on by my daughter's dance school. It was really good but, after a hard day at work, it was matchsticks under the eyelids.
