Watched the fight, found a nice stream at reddit. Glad I didn't pay cover at the bar and sit there all night drinking their over priced drinks in anticipation of a great bout, it really wasn't.

Maybe I'm not that big of a boxing fan, I really wasn't partial to either guy, I just wanted to see a decent event but the predicted outcome wound up being a spoiler and the fight turned out the way of the wagers.

I just lacked the words to describe the disgust I feel that even now, a black v white boxing match is the biggest game in town. I do apologize for using the term, and will not do so again.

I also wasn't sure how to use the perspective, which is why I asked it.

I think the worst part of the racism I learned on the east coast, is it starts to seep in, even if you know it is wrong.

Tonight, I'm not doing much of anything, but I will try to reflect a bit, and wonder why I kept such a poo word in my vocabulary.

Funny thing about that term is that it was used so casually here at one time, that you could hear it bandied about in comedy shows - Love Thy Neighbour and Till Death Us Do Part to name just a couple. Then, quite rightly, it was treated with the contempt that it deserved and it all but disappeared.

However, in the modern day the term sounds so ridiculous that it is used almost affectionately between people of colour.
