It's always sad when someone dies before their time, and Patrick Swayze was a really nice dude by all accounts, so it's sad he's died, but I'm not sure anyone could ever credit him with being a maker of great movies.

I'm actually more upset with Keith Floyds death.

I feel for anyone that has cancer.
My grandfather, father and brother in law died from cancer.
Its a horrible thing,, and shoud not be made light of.

My euchre partener just found out she has breast cancer this week. I guess Ill find out first hand what its like to share this experience. THE most awesome, upbeat, motivated, self reliant, woman you could ever meet. Son of b&*^%.....this sucks.

My dad was a Navy SEAL for 20 years of his Navy carreer.
He was 60 years old and still in frighteningly good shape.
In one year of his having cancer, I watched him go so far downhill.
I saw it eat my brother in law alive ( he lived one year and died horribly)
You people want to know why I watch horror movies so much?
I saw the real horror, and it isnt George Romero.
Yeah OC,, its a bad thing to have,,and scary to see someone go with it.

My wife's cousin has lost both her breast's through caner.

Outwardly she is her normal bubbly self (or she is putting on a brave face).

Inwardly I just don't know how she is coping (we used to be close, but this is not the kinda of a thing woman want's to talk to a man about).

Medical science like all technology is advancing at such at rate, who know's what they can do now.

I wish all the best to your friend and I know she has a good friend in you.

I used to do alot for cancer research.
Now since I found out the truth, I wont give a used penny to them.
And the Cancer Treatemnt Centers of America can all go to hell.

Money going to cancer research goes into a general fund. A fund that politicians use to cater to their personal favorite charities.
As for the other, they wont help you unless you have 20 g waving in your hand,, then thats for initial consultation.
They wanted my parents to sign thier properties to them to pay for partial treatment.
Their properties came to over 200,000 dollars.

Thing's are different in different countries.

My father in law died of a brain tumor after a year long battle and the local hospice were great.

My Mother didn't died of cancer, but care she got at the end was great.

None of them was NHS, right enough.

Since she has only been recently diagnosed everything is still pretty much up in the air in regards to her treatment. She has alot of things going for her. Besides and occasional drink she really doesnt have any bad habits. She a soccer coach so she is in decent physical shape. Could stand to loose some weight but who couldnt (hush Hmed  ) she's in her mid 30's, so I think going into this she gonna have a very optimistic outlook.

Thanks for the heartfelt prays gentlemen, I will pass them along. Of course she will give me that "Cindy, why do you trust people on the internet look" but now I have proof of why I do!!

Sometimes you can do everything right and yet you get cancer because it's written in your genes. How positively she's able to face things will have a lot to do with her prognosis. You'll have to support her without being a pain. You'll figure out how. I hope she'll do well.
