Spiders
« on: October 04, 2009, 06:37:01 AM »
Been noticing more tegenaria gigantea (giant house spiders); saw another one yesterday, it had six legs, probably lost two legs in a fight. The information I read, states they run, but this six legged spider kept running after me:

Probably the scariest spider since I looked out my window and saw a araneus diadematus (garden spider), building a web on my front window:

Post pictures of spiders you have recently seen, or have made you go WTF!!!

Man, my back garden is the Piccadilly circus of the spider world.  I would take pics but I am too afraid to venture out there..

Ive raised spiders before,, they are fascinating .

We have alot of jumping spiders here.
I currently have a black widow with an egg sack in a sealed vivarium. She is VICIOUS! I love her to death.
I know we have the big black and yellow ones here too,, they ake HUGE webs,, sometimes six to eight feet in diameter.  Theyer pretty after it dews or some fog starts to burn away.
Ill take a pic of one of the webs and post it here.
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.

sadly I killed 3 black widows in the past winter. They were all hanging out by our shoes in the garage. Even until today, I throw my shoes against

the wall before putting them on now.  :D :P

well the shoe rack is in the garage. we dont want smelly feet smell in the house now do we?  :D

oh, i got it. we don't like to wear shoes in the house. My family's always been like that. ANd really, if you think about it, who knows

how many gross things you could step on in a single day and then bring all of that into the house and all over the carpet. Makes my skin

itch.

Not a big fan of spiders.  Creepy crawly things creep me out.

BTW, my brother was bitten by a brown recluse on his back near his waist (doctor believes he must have rolled over on it in his sleep).  It didn't turn into necrotizing fasciitis (as it can) but he started getting painful, discolored lumps around his groin area.  After a few days, he called his doc and was told to get to the hospital right away.  Luckily the doc recognized the symptoms and my brother was treated right away.  The doc then told him that if he ever experienced something like this again, contact him right away, night or day.

We have only small spiders here and none of them aren't dangerous to humans or larger animals than small butterfly.

Spiders are unknown world to me,maybe I should check them closely.

We have a spider here in the states that lives in the southwestern states.
Its so deadly, it can kill a man just by glancing at him.

We are lucky because we don't have those kind of monsters here.

Black widow looks to be very nasty toxic spider.
