Okay. I don't know if it's fixed or not but MAYBE this is why it was beeping...
The pc was sent with 2gb of ram. I noticed whenever a process was opened or opened, it'd beep/chirp. Correct me if I'm wrong but whenever a process opens, it requires memory - ram.
I opened up my computer since I have been like crazy lately and looked at the ram. I've been using Everest and looking at what's wrong. All the ram matched up except one. It was just a lower MHz so I assumed because it's ram, all the ram would run at that.
I didn't consider them being mixed though. Since there are four slots, I have four sticks totalling in 2gb of ram. I have two PNY 512mb 533mhz PC2-4200 (I believe but my system doesn't allow 4200, it says 4300 and cruical totally says otherwise) and the other two sticks didn't match at all. When I said I took out the ram, I took out the PNY ones, not the mismatched ones. Stupid me.
The reason why this is a big deal to me and my pc is that when I went to crucial.com and scanned my pc, there are those questions that people usually ask and it answers it right there. One of them is "Do I have to install matching pairs?" I didn't consider that at all. Go figure what the answer was.
Hopefully this fixed the problem. There hasn't been a beep since I took out the two sticks that didn't match. Since my motherboard has dual-channel support, I put the PNY sticks in the right spots. They seem to fully load up in my System properties as 1.0gb.
I hope this was it. If not, I don't know. It beeped during start up stating the memory was different so that's good. Though these PNY sticks are DDR2 PC2-4200, my pc says it only takes DDR2 PC2-4300. Crucial says I can put in DDR2 PC2-5300 and DDR2 PC2-6400.
Though in the Crucial page where it shows the currently installed memory, it says there's DDR2 PC2-5200. I don't know why.
And go figure. It bless'ed beeps.
