Maybe have it come down like a ride restraint, turn the bed into a big cart. I suppose you could make a small one that levered down like a helmet, but then you'd have to integrate cooling measures, plus if you're claustrophobic I imagine that would be one of the worst claustrophobia inducing things possible.

Modern problems require modern solutions. We must deal with it.

I reckon the Japanese were onto something with their capsule hotels.

I suppose I could always use TNG's room while he's up north. Mind you, it's teenager's room so I might not make it out alive ...

That's probably not a bad idea.  Go somewhere snorefree if it bothers you.  My husband goes onto the sofa.  I just poke him gently if he snores, but he's a very heavy sleeper, while I'm not.

I just woke up after a nightmare in which I was getting into a confrontation with a wild cat who was lurking on a local college campus. I was poking it with a metal stick that I'd found.  The cat wasn't being all that quick to leave.  As I woke up the fight was amping up so I made a quick escape back to consciousness, but boy am I tired.  Why that worked its way into my subconscious is a mystery as I had a quiet day, otherwise.  Maybe it's the antibiotics I'm taking.

Just don't build the rocket pack.

Batman costume is optional.

Essentially you mount the helmet to your headboard, and just hinge it down at sleepytime.

I've had the big idea, I'll leave the details up to you.

I see you're an architect at heart.

It reminds me of one of those old fashioned hair dryers. The problem with that is that I don't like being reminded about hair.

Originally I was thinking like a tank with bumpers on the bottom that folded down, that is VERY CLOSE to the hair helmets now that you have pointed it out.

I like being alone up to the point where I do actually find myself alone. Then I get bored.

I'm bored. And alone.

I went on holiday last Saturday, and spent 8 days in Yorkshire without a TV. Completely missed all the hoo-raw.

Next time you bring the rain southwards, take it all the way!

Spent the weekend in Chelmford - or rather, Maldon - as a friend of our got married 2 years after the original, planned date (damned COVID). It was a lot of fun and went as smoothly as it possibly could have, but I am really feeling the over-boozing and over-eating.

Early night methinks.

I remember weddings, and parties, before Covid.  They were so much fun.  Drinking and dancing and meeting new people.  I just turned down an invitation to a nice 4th of July bash with a band and wonderful food because I just don't want to risk the damned virus.  It's really a pita.  A friend went to a family reunion in the midwest recently and got Covid, despite being fully vaccinated and very careful.  It's not fair.

I just missed another funeral. Thankfully the relative hosting it understood.

Honestly, I'd be okay with doing away with funerals, I hate them.

I, also, hate them.  My father and stepmother refused to have them.  My mother's was an absolute poo show.
Remembering them is the best way to honor their passing.

Agreed.  I’d do well without funerals.

Sorry it’s been so long.  I am in a comfortable place of my own and loving it.  Although I have worked 2 jobs and side gigs the entirety of the summer.
I hope someone here sees the ocean. 🌊

The kids are well, my sons 13 birthday is coming up.  My daughters sweet sixteen this December ♥️🎋🤍

You make me feel old, Bea.  Especially when I remember your children were just toddlers.  But I'm so happy to hear that you are in a good place and that you like your job.  Sorry you have to work so much.  We were supposed to go to the coast today but something came up so we'll go next week instead.  The ocean currents come down from Alaska so it's far too cold to swim, but the water is so beautiful, so we are content to walk on the beach.
