Yes, it's the immature male inflorescence of a palm tree from Central America. It's considered a delicacy in Guatemala and El Salvador.

Looks like guaraná. My husband loves guaraná soda. I don't.

Didn't I do it? Ah, yes. It's listed as "guaran?" Probably my mistake for listing it with a diacritic.
