manga DOES kick ass
Well, not all of it, naturally, but the
Akira and
Berserk anime barely scratch the surface of these stories which is why I said that.
I can't even get into what's missing from
Berserk or we'd be here for awhile but suffice to say Guts' time with the Band of the Hawk is a very small potion of the whole story, and the
Akira film ends roughly 1/3 of the total story and Akira is actually an important character and not just in pieces in jars. Basically the story begins anew with the flooding of Neo-Tokyo. I've loaned
Akira to people who've skipped school and called in sick to work just to finish reading it.
I poo thee not.
I'm more of a comic person, so I tend to like the manga, so don't listen to me...
Has anyone seen/read
Gantz?
I haven't seen the anime yet, but the manga is amazing...
