Buying my dream home

I found my dream home in Wonder Valley California! Making an offer on it tomorrow morning. It's a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home in the mountains on 2.36 acres of land. The house is a short sale, meaning the previous owners have walked away from it owing the bank $92,000. I am making an offer of $90,000 which my real estate agent feels the bank will except. I really fell into the deal of the century, cause the house is valued at $280,000. It needs quite a bit of work, mostly lots of little things. (A lot of them!) But for the price I'm still coming out quite blessed and will be thanking God big time for this one! Really cool thing is it's less than 5 minutes from the Kings Canyon River. Got my fishing pole, so in the spring and summer, you know where I'll be.



Here's my (hopefully) new house. The property goes all the way up to the top of the hill behind the house. And lots of good land to plant fruit and vegies out front.

Good luck HD and if it does go to plan I expect to see more of here in the forum. Hell! when you have broadband and a chair that stays in the same area for more than a week, I might even invite you to the secret poker games I run.

I saw an episode of Teen Cribs yesterday where a teen owned his own Bobcat( not the animal, the dirt mover).. and I thought how much fun that would be. He used it to make 4-wheeler tracks. But if I had property and was super rich I'd just buy a Bobcat and move dirt around every day for no aprticualr reason :D ..just for fun.

Actually, if I get the house we are planning on buying a used tractor. It will be well used. We will need to disk and til the front meadow area for the large garden I plan on growing (lots of fruits and vegies) We will need it to replace the retaining wall behind the house to insure the mountain doesn't come down on the house. We will also want to level an area to build a large garage on. The house doesn't have a garage and we have muscle cars, Harley's and (will have) a tractor that will need to be garaged. And my ol' man wants to put in a go cart track around the perimeter of the property. He is a master welder and mechanic and wants to build a couple of go-carts. Knowing him, they wont be the kind you find at your average go cart tracks. These ones wont have a governor on the motor to keep the speed down on em'. He rebuilt his go-ped and now it does about 45mph. My ol man is a lot like Tim Taylor in the show Home Improvement.  "More Power" I worked on a dairy when I was in my early twenties, so I know how to drive a tractor too. They're a lot of fun.
