Walking is great exercise and you don't need an expensive gym membership to do it.  I get in 3-4 miles a day and walk up some really steep hills.  I have noticed that this is hard on my shoes, though.

Was told by the company nurse that once you hit 50 its all down hill, but not the pain and COST od the meds that go with it
