You could always head south.

Nope. I have lodging booked and paid for. And the flight goes to Milan.

It's far safer up north. Neapolitan traffic is definitely out to get you, but it's worth the game of frogger just to get to the pizza.

Milan is great.  Will you spend any time there?

Milan is a bit smoggy, especially in the summer. A while back they had a 10hr curfew on cars to try and thin it out a bit.

Still a beautiful city, but more a home from home for those of us who already live in the "smoke".

Can you get a redundancy overturned?  I thought they were pretty final.

But it will make you "stronger and more profitable".  Just not for the poor souls they offload.

That sucks goldie.  I know it's bad for the people getting laid off but I also know it sucks for you as a union rep who actually cares for his people.

I'm tired and want to turn in, but I'm thinking that a Saturday night is a terrible thing to waste.

Just one day. And it was blindly sunny! WTF?! I had been watching for weeks a webcam overlooking Piazza del Duomo and it was always cloudy or rainy. I guess I was lucky.
Not my favorite city in Italy but beautiful nonetheless.
