so wednesday went hospital for a operation, turned up at 7.30 am seen surgeon and then waited till 12 am for the surgeon to walk and state
"sorry but we ran out of time" basically bugger off.  :( :(
"do you want me to get someone to arrange another date for you ?"  >:( >:(
whilst this is happening, all around us the 6 nurses were writing on the bed  plaques the pm shift surgery   names  ??? ???
At first I just didn't know what to say, so i just laughed and stated "unless the surgeon faerie could come around my house to perform the same operation I think you had better"  then walked out.
Now have on the 23rd an appointment at 12.30.  2nd time lucky ????
In all after an hour on the phone persuading the appointment staff to give me a quick turn around I learnt that
A-am they perform surgery 9-12am
B-pm they perform surgery 1-3 pm
C-Surgeons then go to private hospitals
6 trained nursed for 4 patients on my the ward i was on ( they were lovely)
And they wonder why the NHS is failing.

Hope it's nothing too serious old chum. Best of luck either way.

I went Macmillan's the week before last for an prostate cancer consultation for my stepdad. His appointment was for 11.20am and he got there before 11am as older folk do.

2.15pm (nearly 3 hours late) we were called in for the consultation that consisted of the doctor saying she was referring him back to another consultant.

Cancer hospital or not I let them know exactly what I thought. When their advert says "you're not alone with cancer", I didn't realise that meant you'd be in a waiting room with 50 other disgruntled patients...

I've been bumped several times from appointments while being a "paying customer" because "their need was greater." I don't believe it. I do believe that their condition resulted in higher insurance payouts though.

They still allow doctors to drink on the job over there? That poo blew my mind in clancy.

Last time we took our granddaughter to the hospital we were there for 8 hours, we did eventually receive good care but the wait times are atrocious, especially with an autistic child.

Authentic wagon train experience.

I thought Microsoft was done messing with the 360, so imagine my surprise when microsoft's "We decide when you use our products" mentality hit.

It's been downloading for quite a while, which is confusing because apparently it's a feature removal of smartglass, to try and force customers to buy xbones.

Actually, it may be the same update failing repeatedly. That's why I haven't used my computer in months.

How do I opt out of my TV dying and 360 locking up? Because these are "features" I don't want.

Sounds like you've got it all on top, brother.

I had most of the day off today which is the first in forever. I'm thinking I liked it and want another.

thats it all finished no more school
Daughter had prom last night and then went to party afterwards.
Police arrived to stop the noise, ambulance arrived as girl so drunk she passed out, Lads vomiting all over house whilst parents sat upstairs.
Sounds like a good time had by all  ;D
At 3 am daughter was dropped off at home drunk. :o
Got to learn the hard way sometimes   :-[ :-[

Daughters next outing is a fitness test for the Army to become a combat medic. Best sober up quickly then  ;D ;D

Well, I can remember getting drunk at that age.  She appears to be on the right path.  I imagine you were up until she was safely home.

I am thinking it's too hot to process another batch of marmalade right now, so I'll put the pulp in the fridge until tomorrow and hope it cools down.  There's so much citrus here, it's embarassing.
