I suppose Mead is a 31/2 thousand year old Alcopop.

I wouldn't know but I expect it would taste of "honey" and "wine"?  I can vaguely remember trying some when I was a teenager, but it can't have left much of an impression.

It most closely resembles the taste and consistency of red wine (it is not a thick, sugary syrup as some tend to envision it) however, there are lingering flavors that come through after it sits on your palette for a bit.

And the flavor can be altered by whatever's been mixed into the brew - for instance blueberry or lemongrass-ginger.

I always envisioned it served in a flagon by a comely wench.

The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.

Brilliant movie. Danny Kaye was always the best at what he did, and has never been surpassed.

According to Laurence Olivier..
