It's an extremely vicious look at the entertainment industry from the point of view of a has-been actress (played by Lisa Kudrow) trying to get back into the spotlight by playing the older aunt on a sitcom about teens in a beach house.

The writers and producers pretty much are tolerating her, but only so far (one of the head writers despises her), and there's a lot of mean-spirited humor (which means you laugh despite the fact that you probably shouldn't).

It only lasted 1 season I think because it's so caustic...  :-\
