Easter.
« on: April 01, 2010, 08:20:22 AM »
Well, it's that time of the year again.  The time of year when chocolate manufacturers run out of cocoa and illicitly sourced palm oil, just so our kids can get even fatter all in the name of someone dying (albeit for a short time as the memberlist here proves). My son aleady has 7 Easter eggs and my daughter  6 and we haven't even visited the famlies yet where they should glean another 4 or 5 each at least.

Hey ho, I suppose if I were a kid I prefer this time of year to Christmas but it is so surreal having so much chocolate stacked up all over the place and I have no idea how they are going to get through it - they'll burst for sure?  I think I'll make a new rule that says that half of all chocolate that enters this house carries a tax that is 50% of it should be given to the parents.

Happy Easter for sunday BTW.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

They even gave children a chocolate egg at my daughter school as a present. An there was a lottery for a giant one.  ;D

There's a treasure hunt for a really big egg every year at my mother's house because the Easter Bunny ( ::) :D) gives hints as to wear he left the egg. Plus all the little eggs every member of the family gives to each one of the children. So yes, it's too much chocolate. My husband was horrified when he found out the prize per kilo of egg chocolate was double the prize of the finest chocolate bonbons in the market.  ::) ;D
