Room 101
« on: May 22, 2010, 03:08:56 PM »
OK quite simple you?re banishing whatever whomever to Room 101 never to be heard or seen again.  What or who would you banish & why.

I?ll kick it off with the word SORRY

Sorry I think it?s a meaningless word and hate it when strangers say  sorry. 99% of the time they don?t mean it. I?ve seen too many people use that word, then carry on doing the same Shiite! Thinking they can use the word as some sort of get out of jail free Card!

SORRY
Manchester United
stellar
Nicolas
Cage
hooligans
Barra Brava
Palindrome
Joe Pasquale
John Barrowman
Ginormous
Inner Child
Mimes
Collective Unconscious
Kim Jong
Low-alcohol alcohol.

I'd banish Manchester United.

And the name too.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

stellar

People use it in an awkwardly cool way, so.. it makes them sound like they're trying too hard.

I'd banish two words "Nicolas" and "Cage" so I'd never see them together on a cast list again.

Oh, no Alien. The man was great in Leaving Las Vegas but he manages to get worse and worse in every film he is in these days. Watch just a few minutes of Bangkok Dangerous and you'll see how wise red's words are.  ;D

I'd ban the word Hooligan (or more accurately Barra Brava in my country).
Wait... I'd ban hooligans period.  >:(   So I don't think that fits this thread.

There's another word I'd like to put in there - palindrome, because it isn't one.

Since you've opened it up to more than just words I'd also like to rid the world of Joe Pasquale... and John Barrowman.

How about Collective Unconscious.  ::)

Arrrrg! I actually believe in that it does work. But until we fully understand it maybe 101 is a good idea as it can be destructive as well as good for mankind.

edit
oOpS your taking about Collective Unconscious me talking about Collective conscious   as most people walk around thinking non-negative thoughts that would be very very bad for mankind
