I had a mixed veg Biryani with some crispy parathas tonight. I was due to make a Thai green curry with king prawns, but I have decided to make that for the missus' birthday tomorrow.

My best friend invited our family to dinner tonight. And she cooks like heaven. I think I'll dodge lunch today.

I had steamed carrots and broccoli, boiled potatoes that were then rolled in olive oil and baked for 10 mins, haddock and parsley sauce.

I got my son to make attend to most of it while I showered for the umpteenth time, and he took it all the way to the point of serving so it was virtually on the plate when I got back to the kitchen.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Oatmeal with local honey and blueberries. I really dont like mushy stuff but this actually quite tasty. This may replace the usual bacon and egg breakfast for a little while.

I knocked up a veggie Makhani last might that will hopefully stretch far enough for tonight too - with the help of a little stock.

Well not tonight but for lunch. Today I made salads for 20 people and I didn't have plastic bowls so I placed them in buckets.  ;D
Here's the story: I'm building a new home and it's customary here that the day the concrete is poured the house owners do an asado for the people working plus some family members. It's mostly a male gathering since us women tend to exclude ourselves due to the precarious conditions.  :D  No place to sit, eating off one's lap, drinking cheap red wine in plastic cups... I bet they'll have fun.  ;D
