Monday nights are curry nights and now even the kids partake of the ritual.  I still have to make one tame and one like Napalm, but we're getting there.

Smoked trout pasta tonight.  I'm not going to use a tomato or cream based sauce as they won't work with trout (although combined they might), so I am going to aim for a vegetable based sauce - something like butternut squash?.

I ended up just using finely chopped broccoli, carrots and parsnips in a butternut squash sauce, and served it with rigatoni. The trout I am saving for tonight and I am going to cook it with shallots, garlic, a sprinkle of chili flakes and heaps of olive oil.  I will add a little tomato puree to give it colour and body, and serve it with linguine.
