Today was dinner/lunch at my mum's. She did some fantastic smoked salmon salad for starters, and for main, she did a very original cous cous with roast chicken for everyone, with these massive potato wedges baked in olive oil.  There was also some tzatziki to accompany and instead of chicken she did some poached haddock with leeks and ginger for me.

Dessert was a lemon posset with strawberries, and there was a couple of bottles of bubbly to wash it all down.

And no washing up!!!

I've made a torta pasqualina (sorry, there's no wiki link in English) and my husband also ate empanadas. We bought these though.

wife had
beef bourguignon and potatos.

I had lardons

they sound fattening, which probably means they're delicious.

I've been nibbling on onion bhajis all day while drinking beer and watching the sport.  Sunday roast is just not happening for me now although I have to go and cook it for the family.

Perhaps just a yorkshire or 2 for me then..

What's a yorkshire?

Mixed veggies and sauteed beef.

Chicken tacos and a vegetarian version of Salad Olivier. My father brought helado (gelato ice cream) but HAD to put passion fruit flavor in it. WHY?!  :'( :D

Yorkshire puddings.  Sundays wouldn't be the same without them.

I quite like the sound of that - mind you, I am the mango yoghurt and mince pie man :)
