 *i just downloaded and ran this app, and highly recommend it, a lot of info on your drive including temperature, condition of drive, free space, various tests, etc.

I do use a couple of the disk utilities from Hiren's boot disk, but as this is newer and more importantly, free, I've grabbed this too.

welcome  :) . i like that it runs in the background for constant real time readings.

that's like me with my netbook. 2 1/2 year old refurb i constantly worry about. no problems yet, but my Desktop machine is on its third hard drive so.......

 *shows the real time temperature in the taskbar, that's handy (31 C right now).
