Another author passed away
« on: March 23, 2013, 12:46:17 AM »
James Herbert passed away this week http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21870413

Although not a genre i read / watch, I have read most of his books.Mush preferred him to Stephen king.
The rats are well know ( even though a poor film was attempted ) but i preferred the dark.
Read this in Austria and scared me to death, nearly that is  ;D ;D.
I didnt realise how many books he wrote.

Damn!

I wonder why no cause of death was given.  He didn't look like he was about to die of old age.

Anyways, R.I.P Mr Herbert.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

The global literacy level just dropped.
May he rest in peace. Thanks for the head's up,Goldie... I hadn't heard a word about it but then the USA's not a place where an author's passing is generally noted (particularly a "lowly" science fiction/horror writer).
Estragon: I can't go on like this.
Vladimir: That's what you think.
