first oversea's holiday for years, haven't had a passport for 3/4 years
cannot wait to see Pompeii and Herculaneum

As Holidays appear to be on the scene again, The wife has booked a holiday for our 30th wedding anniversary in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast of Italy. Hopefully I get a job and they allow me time off

This was my mother's favourite place and had planned to live there at one point. She at least got to spend many holidays there before she passed.

Ok, I'm really trying to put together another St Lucia trip now the madness is over.

Gonna have to chuck a few quid at it as we haven't been away for 3 years, but with the crappy exchange rate and spiralling flight and accommodation costs, we might end up in Bognor ..

Current plan (though haven't started the arrangements yet) is to visit my family in IN in Aug and go with my brother to GenCon in Indy (table-top gaming convention). Other than that, no plans unless one of my pool teams win a trip to Vegas.

IN May were off to Spain via a overnight cruise ship (ferry to be honest) then drive to Barcelona for 2 nights and another cruise ship( ferry) to Sardinia for 2 weeks in the Camper van with friends.

Back home after 2 nights in Bakewell Derbyshire.
 Very Very and Very wet and the poor pooch couldn't walk far, fortunately by chance  we found a local brewery very close to the campsite . Made great Pizzas which we watched them make

Well, someone in my family has to do a resit at the exact time of the planned holiday. Consequently, it's on hold again.

In fairness, having one's grandfather die while sitting exams isn't ideal.

I think I'll take the one that isn't doing a resit to Italy for a week. At least she'll get a little holiday of some sort. We're thinking Rome.
