I'm already having to work again and I wasn't technically due to start until the 7th of September.  I was hoping to sit on my backside and do some internetting for a while.

Make the most of it retirement is not all it is cracked out to be, after a year I went back to work part time 20 hours because I missed the banter with work mates, plus after years in management it was nice not to have the responsibilities.

I want to retire in the Caribbean.  That could be a lot of fun and extend my life considerably. Just need a shedload of wonga to realise that dream.

I'm here. And that is downstairs where pretty much everything in the house is today (and next week). Because we have to varnish the floors upstairs. I'm very happy and not at all tired right now.  ::) ::)

There are good products that can do that in an hour or two. That is, oif there isn't a cold beer distraction.

I'm also here everyday with lots to say - just not sure where to say it.

Oh, yes. The thing is the "qualified movers" (namely brother-in-law + friends) can only help on Saturday. They have been promised to be paid back with an asado and you can't eat that without drinking wine so we they picked Saturday.  :)

I hate decorating and painting or should I say all DIY, but constant nagging usually means I end up doing it. My daughter has just bought a house which is going to cost + £30,000 to do up, I will give you one guess who she comes to pay for the house and renovations, we found there was rising damp, wood worm (all new floors and joists), a complete rewire, new central heating, walls all need replastering, new gas and water pipes (old ones all carroded, an extension on the back, the garage all needs repairing, plus decorating and furniture. You think that as your kids get older they will fly the nest and you can enjoy retirement, ha that is a joke....I think my son is a bloody Ostrich and will never fly 29 and still living at home.
