Windows 10 will be cross platform
« on: February 24, 2015, 08:31:02 AM »
Fable Legends has cross-play on PC and Xbox One . It will support DirectX 12 and they're claiming better frame rates and longer battery life on mobile devices. You can stream games from the Xbox to your Windows 10 tablet.

"We think enabling people to play multiplayer games on Windows 10, across Xbox One and Windows 10, will unlock the potential of Xbox Live and grow the social network that's there today," said Phil Spencer, head of Xbox.

Microsoft made no mention of whether this feature would come to other games, but according to Spencer's statement, it seems very likely.

Errr.. Microsoft bypasses Windows 9?

Either way, it looks pretty exciting for those into gaming.  My son is sold.

Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.
