In real local news ... sort of, Thursday saw my final visit to the dentist for my dental implant program. I now have a marvellous set of upper gnashers that could grind rock - and with zero discomfort!

See, it WAS worth it after all.

This year marks my 30th year not eating meat. But I appreciate the sentiment.

A nice slab of tempeh, or some spiced roasted tofu might be a good alternative.  We are having pasta with putanesca sauce and a salad for dinner tonight as it's my bday and it's easy.

I can't find the local crime blotter anymore; the search results have been poisoned by SEO naffs.

Best I can get is this annoying map that uses cute icons to mark crimes. Assault is a fist.

Specifically, when I was walking the dog, a guy and his chick were fighting, she kept telling him to go to jail, he kept calling her drunk.

I'd partially agree with that because she face planted into the street at that point and her phone went into traffic.

I took the dog in, grabbed my phone, and went back out. The duo were gone, but there were three police cruisers where they had been.

I don't carry my wallet or phone when I take the dog out. Poop bags and a mini flashlight.

Even the local newspaper just links to the shitty website.
