Today, my application to the "Gas Safe Register" was approved. I can now legally blow poo up.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

The UK is a safer place, now, for sure.

Isn't most the fun because it's illegal?

I kind of love how the most dangerous certifications sound as boring as possible.

I looked into explosives jobs and that field is STUPID competitive.

(As in people who blow stuff up legally)

It must be earthquake season.  We've had 3 ranging from 2.5 to 2.9 (the latter closer to home) in the past 48 hours.  I live near an active fault that hasn't had a major breach in 160 years, meaning it's overdue for a very large correction.  So these little ones make us nervous.

That might have been me ... blowing poo up.

I wish that were the case, as I think you would be easier to placate than the angry gods who live inside the earth around these parts.  It's been warm here, but is promising to rain for a change tomorrow.  Everyone is really excited about that.  I'll believe it when I see it.

It's weird, I lived where six is, and I've lived down south.

Norcal takes earthquakes more seriously, despite equal risks.

Also they put rice in their burritos, which is wrong. Mission style burritos are wrong.

I rarely eat burritos, as they're generally too much food for me for a single meal, but I decline rice as an ingredient.  We sometimes eat beans and rice with spices and some grated cheese for dinner.  It's quick and easy to prep and tasty.

Until I moved here (very close to a major fault), I never realized how much I was floating on an earthen plate that could move around when it got the urge.  As long as my house doesn't fall down on me or catch fire from the gas lines/electric, I'm ok.  But, I never really get used to the odd sensation that my house is suddenly shaking and I don't know how bad it will be until it's over.  And, earthquakes are LOUD.  That's something I would not have expected.

I like rice in chicken burritos and beans in beef/steak burritos.

Hope they get out safe, it looks like this could be a really bad one. Wonder where DeSantis will scurry off to.

My sister lives just north of Miami and has been preparing for this storm for days.  It's mostly hitting north of her, but I'm sure the rain is heavy and there are strong winds.

I have nothing good to say about the current governor of that state.

Hopefully, your parents will be ok, goldie.  Where are they?
