How you feeling today?
« on: May 21, 2019, 02:07:29 PM »
I'm feeling pretty good considering I'm on my second day of abstinence from coffee. Like I mentioned in another thread, I do this about 3 times a year over a 3 day period. It gives me a fresh start. One nice side effect; I don't eat as much when I'm only drinking water. So many things go good with coffee. I've been a coffee addict for a very long time.

you might detox in 3 days, but it's probably not the reset button you're hoping for. That being said, I don't want anyone to die because I suggested you aim for 30 days.

Plus, it's coffee. Coffee bent with no one, ever. *Aside from trade practices, but that's a whole different thing.

I was feeling fine until I ate lunch. Hopefully that will clear up. Sometimes eating just makes me feel lousy instead of doing anything helpful.

I find that it takes a full 2 weeks to get caffeine out of my system.  I've given up coffee before for as much as 2 years, but I always go back to my dark mistress.  I don't think it's particularly bad for you.

So it didn't clear up, I got super sick and missed my Doctor's appointment yesterday. And she always yells at me when that happens.

So I managed to move getting yelled at to June 5th.

I'm feeling okay today, had some water and some juice. Kind of afraid to eat though. Yesterday was ROUGH.

Got my second jab this afternoon and I think I actually feel better than before I had it. Perhaps it's a positive vibe thing.

I got my "one and done" J&J yesterday. So far, I have a little sensitivity on the injection site when I apply some pressure (same as any shot). Was a little lethargic and light-headed (my close friends might argure this is still status quo) yesterday but so far today, I feel fine.

Sweet. Now we can have a hug-in in the staff room.

Second jab yesterday too. Obviously Gosport are short-changing their old folk.

I had no discernible ill effects from the first jab but these 2 days following the second have been pretty bad. I've had joint and muscle ache something chronic and have felt thoroughly deflated.

Starting to feel better now and I'm glad I had it on a Friday as working through it would have been a tough ask.

Did you have Moderna?  My husband had a bad reaction (flu-like symptoms for about a day) to the second Pfizer jab.

Seems I'm getting some slightly delayed side-effects. Body aches (not too bad) continuing but today I'm going back and for between cold chills and hot flashes. Also a little disoriented. Fun.

I had the AZ as do most people over here.

I have heard that the second dose is more likely to give you grief although it seems there's no guarantee one way or the other. I also read that the sore arm etc is a good sign as it shows my immune system has finally gotten off its arse.

A tad sad.
Mate has just been given a couple of months to live. Doctors repeatedly mis-diagnosed his throat cancer as stress ( his wife's parents have just passed away) even though he couldn't eat and losing of approx 5 stones this year. Too late now as it has gone everywhere and in operatable / treatable.  :'( :'(

Similar to my stepdad's situation. The only thing of comfort is that you see them in such an extraordinary bad place, that it's easier to accept when they pass as it means they are out of pain.
