Car repairs are expensive.  The regulator in my driver's side window failed and it cost me $500 to get it fixed.  $300 was just for the part.  The entire door had to be taken apart in order to reach it.  Not a great design.  It is nice to be able to open and close the window again, though.

Glad you finally got it resolved, goldie, but ouch!  I'm sure we all could find more pleasant ways to spend the money.

All is now well except for the £500. it cost  :'( :'(

Count yourself lucky. Last year my gearbox, dual mass and my clutch all went at the same time. Cost me £4.5k to get it back on the road.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

I know how expensive clutches can be  :o :o.
