Daughter instructed me to watch Stranger things,

Stranger Things is good, although creepy.  I watched the first 2 seasons but didn't continue.

Murdoch Mysteries is back for its umpteenth season. Constable George Crabtree was promoted at the end of the last season to Inter Inspector, and I a really neat touch demonstrated the esteem in which he is held by his peers:

I wasn't sure when I first saw it if it was a clever hint or a stupid misprint by the set-dressers but he referred to it, making it obviously deliberate (and so subtle that it had to be pointed out)

Banana could be called a carb tree. Eh.

Kim Kong.  French series about a jaded director of action films (French) who is filming yet another blockbuster in Asia when he's suddenly kidnapped by the henchmen of a nearby dictator.  Why?  They want him to produce a film for the Dear Leader.  A remake of King Kong according to a script by the Dear Leader.

Hilarity ensues.  It takes a while to gain momentum but it's pretty entertaining.

The last couple of weeks my household has just been one illness after another so we've spent many days without much to do. The wife and I thought we'd give In The Line Of Duty a go, even though it's not really what I would call "my sort of thing". It's actually very good, if not terribly frustrating. I think it works better now that we know of the horrors that really go on inside our police force. I think if I'd watched it 10 years ago, I would have thought it was fiction beyond reality.

Watching Shogun.  I sort of remember the original series from long ago so cannot compare TBH.
The CGI is awesome (assume most of the shots are), but Cosmo Jarvis in the main role I am unsure of.
His voice if his own is so deep

I enjoyed the book when I was younger, but I can't be doing with this new-fangled bowing at the altar of multi-culture. All of the pre-match publicity about how the new version is less euro-centric - and less "white hero" - rather disturbs me, as the whole point of the story (and the actual historical events) was that the white guy made a huge impact on the locals. If they had wanted to make a story about Japanese history, then they should have chosen a different book to adapt.

... but I haven't watched - and likely won't watch - the new version, so I may be completely wrong.

ATM the white guy bumbles along nicely, having no idea what is happening.

We are watching Mandy with Diane Morgan.  She's really willing to make herself look ridiculous for a laugh and largely succeeds.  There's a good supporting cast, too with occasional visits from some other serious actors -- BBC series regulars.  It's pretty entertaining.

Started watching "3 Body Problem" via a recommendation.
Never read or heard of the book prior to the TV series, Created by: David Benioff; D. B. Weiss; Alexander Woo,
so a reputable history.
First episode left me dumfounded as to what is going on, which I love.

I dont know which is the more confusing
