F.I. I have watched the 1st season of Black Book and it doesnt really do it for me. Dylan Moran (sp?) is soooooo painfully whiney that it makes it hard for me to watch. Thanks for the recommendation though. The only other thing Ive seen Bill Bailey in is Buzzcocks so that was good to see.

Another Diasfora peer has recommended "Shameless" to me. I've started watching it and if I didnt see the comedy label on the IMDB I might be alittle surprised. Very.....unique......and completely BBC. Of course if I knew James McAvoy was in it I would of watched it years ago!!! The Dad is just such a tosser (<- yep I used it in the right context and everything) he kinda makes me ill. I suppose that's the comic intention of his character. Off to finish season 1 then. One other thing-Im just realizing the value/purpose of "canned laughter" in US comedy shows. This has nothing but pure personal interuptation so if you find humor then laugh, you're not instructed when to laugh like on US shows.

Ask AJ for a special dispensation (he covers all faiths on account of his connections).

I downloaded Shameless for James McAvoy, but I didn't really 'get' the humour and I don't know anything about the UK working class, so it wasn't really for me :-\

The only humor is that these poor people think their reality is normal. I wouldnt call it a comedy it more like a soap opera and I started season 3 last night. Im hooked.....why I dont know but still.

I've been watching Spooks recently, damn it's good. two thirds through series 2 already :-\ it's a good thing brit shows only have no more than about a dozen eps, makes it easier to catch up, but then it's sad to see a show go by so quickly :(
