Saw MILK, Cried MILK, forgot to mention MILK. My daughter actually was the one who wanted to see this. Being a "tear jerker" I had no interest other than hearing the true story. Damn, it was an important film. HE was an important man. Watch it.  7.5/10

On the suggestion of Jack, I saw the movie and I am still stunned.
It is a really good one and what a great way for Eastwood to end his acting career!
The movie is captivating, intelligent and intense.
I felt one way for the main character in the beginning, then in the middle, he changed, and at then end-WOW! I stayed speechless.

Now, it is definitively not the best movie if the year and I do not expect it to win any major awards, although it should be nominated at least for Eastwood's playing.
But it is a movie that everybody should see at least once. I highly recommend it.

And, yes, there are many racial insults, but you will see how it ends( I don't wanna spoil it for you )  ;)

I've nearly got the movie memorized - Ghostbusters rules.

@CMF - I'm glad you liked Gran Torino because it makes me feel better about your recommendation of The Wrestler.  :D

In regards to the "Racial Insults", the scene in the barber shop where they were trying to teach the kid how to interact as a "man" showed me that this is based on old school philosophy. Not oly did they dish out the racial labels, they took them too. I compare it with how some blacks use the N-word between themselves as a term of endearment. Does this make it right? Hell no, but it is the way it is. I didnt take any of the so called slurs as anything more than old school slang.  Thought it was very reverant when the girl threw it right back at him, got a serious chuckle out of that.

I think giving any kind of hint at what direction the film take spoils some of the way the story progresses, so I'm trying not to say too much.  ;D
