Actually, the Hogwarts battle is in the 7th book. I also thought it would be in the 6th, but then I checked the wiki and it says it is in the 7th.
Well, it's not an all-out epic battle. But the students and teachers did put up a fight. Oh the wands in the air thing was totally WTF.

Listen to this disclaimer: This movie is beyond twisted. It is disgusting, bloody, vicious, tasteless and demented and for any true horror fan (which I think RG and I are the only 2 here) it is a must see. DO NOT watch this if this type of "thrill" does nothing for you!

Dang OC,, after reading this and what you told me on the phone,, I cant wait to see this gem!

As for all of them being rehashed and things,,obviously some on here dont watch real horro rmovies,, they need to check out anything made by Dario Argento or Lucio Fulci.
I have a movie called Altered that really scared me, and it takes alot to do that.
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.

Then, I guess it deserves to be watched  ;)

I just finished watching Deadgirl and it is pretty effed up!
It is the weirdest zombie movie I have ever seen.
A nail-biting thriller to the end with a slight touch of fantasy  :)
Unlike most of the horror movies, I liked it.
OC1, if you have other good suggestions like these, keep them coming.  ;D

AAAHHH!!!! CMF I am so proud!!  ;D I truly was baffled by this tale of the macabre. I dont know if I should be embarrassed/ashamed by being so "moved" by this film as it is truly WRONG on so many levels. I just finished burning a copy for RG so he will be able to add this feedback assignment.

Again.....do NOT watch this if gore and death do not fascinate/amuse you.

Duly noted and duly scratched off the "Movies to watch" list.

It looks like a children's movie. Fairytale and fantasy. No, it's not, it's pretty gruesome at times too. Yet so awesome. If you watch a lot of Brit TV you'll recognise some of the actors/actresses, pleasantly surprising. Quite a bit of dry humour as well. This movie's a good bit of fun.

That movie was well done. It's always a relief when they turn a novel from an author I like into a movie, and they don't ruin it too badly :P

Sort of like the impression I got of "Irreversible"?

I jumped over to watch trailers of this film and it seemed to be more a suspense/thriller type of movie. Deadgirl is pure horror. I may have to check out Irreversible though, have you seen it Dweez?

^ nah.. I'm ok with those. I can think of others that were really bad.

Some books I hope never get touched. Or, if they do make it to movie form, and I think ahead of time they've been ruined, I try to avoid them :P

..and.. I did see the Percy Jackson trailer with HP.. but it didn't show much. I'm worried about how a 25 year old can play Annabeth ??? maybe it will work. .. but they made up for that by casting Kevin McKidd as Poseidon... sheesh..hottest Poseidon ever ;D ..so that's good :) But, yeah.. the trailer definitely shows nothing.

..now that I look it up though... they cast nearly everyone old. Not just a few years older like Percy.. but.. in their twenties kind of old. Maybe they figured demigod kids should be heightened versions of average kids :P ::)

I only saw two scenes of it as my friend was watching it on his laptop during a flight.  Later, he told me that I caught the 2 most gruesome scenes...great.

Read/seen any of the Ludlam Bourne books/films?  I won't say the movies ruined the books but mostly because the movies are completely different from the books.  I wonder if Ludlam even had a say it the screenplays.  BTW, based on IMDB, there's another Bourne movie slated for 2011 (and a friend of mine said he actually saw it somewhere that there are actually 2 more slated, not just the 1.
