I saw this on the other fora and didn't know what it means. What does it mean? It's apparently Scottish.
My take on this is that the person's house happens to be in a "close" that is on quiet route to a local pub. A "close" is a kind of alley to the Scots, and a sort of Cul-de-sac which it is more generally all over the UK.
What tends to happen is people stumbling out of the pub at night, and more so after closing time, tend to target the nearest, and to a degree most "discreet" doorway to relieve themselves, and then so does the next man and so on. I used to live in a flat above a shop a few doors down from a pub, and the shop doorway was used as a urinal more that the pub toilet, and the entrance to my flat was next to it.
So I reckon the sign is saying "Do you want to stop pissing in the alley I live in you dishevelled group of scoundrels"... but I could be wrong?
